Grey Nielson discovered his passion for guitar when he was 11 years old. In the five years since then, he has played all types of music on stages throughout Utah and California. His favorite music to play is metal, but he also loves rock, jazz, and classical/flamenco. He’s played on stages with Mike Ward (The Wallflowers), Tom Malone (The Blues Brothers), and Steve Smith  (Journey.) In 2024, he won Downbeat Magazine’s Outstanding Middle School Soloist award for his performance of Dream Theater’s Best of Times.
